In this Mobility Snack we're going to focus on hip adduction. This is one of the elements of hip training that I think we don't typically work on or focus on, and it can be kind of left as a blind spot.
When you think about the hip, you have to think about it in three dimensions as opposed to the two dimensions we often view our joints from.
We have to think about the fact that these are not just linear spaces of movement and that the six degrees of freedom or six directions that we think of as far as the hips actions are actually overlapping. So they kind of create like a 3D model or a 3D space within your hip joint.
All of those overlaps require that you train each of those spaces or you train overlapping elements of those spaces.
So when you start thinking about your hip training, think about it in that context of trying to approach it from as many angles and as many directions as possible.
Please enjoy this mobility snack and leave me a comment to me know how it goes.
