April 2025 Newsletter: The Opportunity in Time Spent

I began this newsletter with a story about how the time you invest in a place or thing will impact you. The concept of time under tension or time spent in a space is universal. We build strength through frequency and familiarity with a thing. The more time we invest in something, the better it will get over time.

Your strength and mobility training follows that logic. When you spend time doing certain elements of strength and mobility, you become more aware, have a better understanding and can build better relationships with between your tissues and your neurology.

Last Month

Last month we explored the topic of Zone 2 Training. It’s a fundamentally important part of our overall health and longevity. Not only does the time we give to Zone 2 help us, but we learned that frequency also plays a role.

If you missed last month’s Zone 2 Blueprint Series, you should check it out here.

This Month

In this month we began by helping you understand that your lower back isn’t to be feared. Training your back is an essential part of training, just like any other part of your body. The issue is that no one is taught how to train their back, and so many clown car “experts” have convinced everyone that we need our spines wrapped in bubble wrap. The amount of nonsense “neutral spine”, don’t move your back quacks out there is nauseating.

Anyway, check out this post from earlier in the month along with a quick and easy Knee Mobility Snack.
