Up until this point we’ve mainly focused on mobility training strictly an internal focus. This means that we have looked at the specific joint and asked what is it capable of. Then we trained that joint to specifically using isometrics. But often we think that our mobility training is all internal work.
This is not true. The approach that we take with this sort of training is an inside out approach. What we’ve been taught throughout our lives is to take an external approach to everything we do. In other words we usually work from the outside in.
This can reinforce a more superficial idea of training. In my coaching we look to find deeper layers of training, not only in the physical but the mental. The entirety of what I coach is rooted in the ideas what Simon Sinek calls, finding your “Why” or “Starting with Why”.
Once we find our “Why” we will build a stronger relationship with the thing we’re doing. If we can build a stronger relationship between ourselves and the thing we do, then we stand a greater chance of having success.
