3 Things I Wish I Did Sooner to Grow My Fitness Business
Take these simple steps to help improve and grow your fitness business
Years ago when I started my first fitness business, I had no idea what I was doing. I had been working as a trainer for some time and was finally ready to take a step out on my own.
It was 2004 and everyone told me that I needed a Business Plan. So I spent all my time outside of training trying to write a business plan.
Don’t do that. It’s a waste of time.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t have a plan. What I’m saying is that while you’re planning, others are doing.
Take the necessary steps of course. Go get a business license. Open a Sole Proprietor, LLC or something legal. Take those steps.
But sitting around doing a SWOT Analysis or writing some lofty estimates about profits and loss sometimes leads to paralysis by analysis.
Sometimes you have to build your parachute on the way down. It’s good to have targets and goals. It’s good to put strategies in place to help you reach those targets, but in my opinion, that can be a living document and process.
