One of the things that you may be missing as a part of your strength and conditioning program is hip specific training. When we consider the fact that our hips are involved in most of the activities that we do, we can begin to find the blindspots in our programming.
Hip function and strength through full range of motion is important. If your range of motion is limited then we should improve that. If you have great range, but lack control of the range then we need to improve your control.
Context is key so the questions we have to ask about hip range is a very individualized. We base needs on the demands of your specific sport, activity and lifestyle. We develop programming and training inputs on all of these factors.
